Toolshop Manager (MAGNA Body & Chassis Hungary) [Germany]

For our greenfield division MAGNA Body & Chassis Hungary (location Vecsés, Hungary) we are looking for the Toolshop manager.

The Toolshop as support Department of the Production is respobnsible for tooling acceptance, dies repair and maintenance as well dies modification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organization and management of the Department (People, Training, Tooling & Equipment, Health & Safety).
  • Optimization all internal Toolshop production processes.
  • Improvement activities, modification and optimization the of stamping dies performance.
  • Participation and supervision of all preparation and implementation the engineering changes.
  • Active participation in the quality claims process.
  • Monitor the consumption of consumables for tooling repair and modifications.
  • Department budget planing and tracking.
  • Planning the department’s capital investment. Selection and participation in the purchase process of new and additional equipment.
  • Consumables inventory management and optimization.
  • Active participation in continuous improvement activities.
  • Managing the operation of the machining area, as well as the full and constant performance of all machines.
  • Active participation in new project launches.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Secondary technical education in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in tooling.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadreship experience.
  • Knowledge and skills of tooling repair and modification.
  • Advance experience with Microsoft Office, 3D.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; and the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities within and across departments/business units to meet established and changing deadlines.

Work Environment

  • International Business Travel might be expected from time to time.
  • Production and office work environment.
  • Ensures timely, accurate and complete communication to create and maintain excellent working relations.
  • A driver’s license is preferable.
